Welcome to the Student Handbook to Athenian Classes (SHAC)

I am currently working on a student handbook to Athenian's seminar offerings. This sort of review is common at colleges and I'd like to bring the practice to Athenian. I do not want to 'flame out' any teachers or write disparaging, rude, or defaming comments about them. I want to provide you, next year's juniors and seniors, with a practical guidebook to the course list. This guide is intended to inform students about the value of Athenian's course offerings.

I am still trying to find out who is teaching some of the course offerings next year, but as I am a departing senior, it is weird for me to be asking about next year's seminars. If you are a current junior or sophomore and want to help me, please talk to me at school or send me an email at AthenianSchool@yahoo.com. I am proceeding despite not having enough evaluations for most classes, which means this site is not nearly complete. If you'd like to help me finish it, please tell me who is teaching what classes, and fill out evaluations.

If you'd like to start a guide to the fine arts selections, math/science departments, or foreign language departments, and want to know how to get started, please talk to me at school or send me an email at AthenianSchool@yahoo.com.

Okay, the meat of this page is in the downloadable material. There will be hard copies of each of these documents at school. This whole project is free, so I had to upload the files to a download site called Best Sharing, basically the link on this page will redirect you there and you just click the download link, it's about halfway down the page.

Seminar Eval Form
This is the evaluation form for seminars - if you'd like to fill one out feel free to download it and send me a copy. This form was the basis for class evaluation.

Online Class List
This page lists all the seminars and has some evaluations on it.

School's Course Catalogue
This is the school's Course Catalogue. The relevant information is paraphrased in the Handbook.

The Handbook
This link should go active on Monday sometime. This is the definitive document. I still need to find out who's teaching many of the seminars next year. Please find Michelle C and ask them what classes she is teaching, and please ask Gabe or another teacher who's teaching Chinese Lit and who's teaching Revolutions. Or ask Gabe about specific offerings, and bug him for not putting teachers' names on the course catalogue. The link will not go active unless someone can find out this information and send me an email or talk to me at school.

I can still use evaluations for your classes!! If you have taken any of the classes offered next year, or any seminars taught by a teacher who's teaching next year, please fill out an evaluation or mail me with your thoughts.

Thanks! Please spread the word to your peers.
